back to nature.....

I don't think I sat down my camera once this trip......It seemed like every second outdoors was a photo opportunity (and it is no secret that my little sunflower is my favorite to photograph) My family likes to joke that I should get my camera surgically attached to my hand. Hmmmm.....Might have to ask Dr. and Dr. Kilgore about that :) checking out the lake..... gotta love those rolls! :) first time on the boat! she loved it!!! (notice her elbow ouch?....that is what comes with a wobbly new walker) This apple was supposed to be for the deer......but, Auburn decided it looked yummy for her tummy!

nothing is better for the soul than a few days away from it all. When we got to Greenleaf we discovered that we had absolutely no reception of any kind....We were cut off from it all and it proved to be just what we needed. We are a nature loving family - and this was the place for us!!! Hiking trails, clear lakes, a deer out our back door. If you can tell from the photos - the deer would eat right out of your hand, it was the neatest thing in the world! They would let you pet them too...Auburn thought it was the funniest thing - she LOVED it!!

I don't think of myself as much of a collector (well, maybe shoes :)....but, after starting to collect antique camera's -I just can't quit picking them up anywhere I find them. Found my latest little treasure while in San Juan...Love this little guy!

Auburn got her new wheels from her Uncle last week, and since then she has spent most of her time riding it. Getting on and off, scooting around all day long. This girl loves to be on the move!  Stay tuned for a sneak peek of a special couple and their engagement photos coming up soon!!

Footsteps....

As promised, some photos from the beach in San Juan!!!  We had a great time soaking up the sun! A few of us decided to kayak through the ocean and it was a blast! We had no idea how exhausting it would be - probably because we decided to race each other :) We found a spot to call our own away from the crowd and I was able to get some shots I really love.  I wish we could have spent another day or two at the beach - but we had to get some more sight seeing in. Next up.....photos from the rain forest!!!

Happy Father's day to all the amazing dad's out there.....Auburn woke her Daddy up with his cards and gift. He got a free round of golf, but the real surprise was that he would be playing that round of golf in North Carolina while visiting his brother Kevin. He was super excited and he deserves every vacation he can get....Auburn and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful man in our lives. He is our rock and our hero. We love you Dusty Porch!

Happy Fathers Day! Go hug your Dad - I am heading to hug my Freddie Joe in just a bit :) A man who loves with all his heart, is kind beyond words, and is my biggest fan....I would never be the person I am today without his love. A constant encourager, a forever friend, an amazing dad to so many!

Home from San Juan and missing it already!!! It was an amazing place rich in culture and history....I cannot say enough wonderful things about it! We had an amazing time exploring it all - Old San Juan (our favorite spot) - the beautiful beaches - and all the yummy food :) I have SO many photos to share, but I thought I would start with Old San Juan photos. We all decided we need to form a city in Oklahoma with this much colorful architecture, it was so beautiful! Glad to be back home with my sweeties and ready to celebrate Fathers Day! Exploring the Farm....

Good thing little miss Auburn likes to be as on the go as her momma and daddy.....We have had a fun time the past few days - heading out to the Porch Farm for a Friday night slumber party with the cousins - the May fair Arts Festival and lunch with the fam - and then to a graduation party for three of our favorite girls tonight. Of course she was all smiles for it all - loves to be the center of it all.....Such a fun couple if days and some fun photos to go along with it!

Can't wait to share tomorrow's sessions - little Harper and Hadyn are going to make for a fun day :)
