Seniors are the best!

the jumping shot is becoming everyone's favorite, myself included :) I had such a great time on my afternoon senior session. It was an amazingly gorgeous Oklahoma day with no wind - yeah!!! I love shooting seniors - they are always up for fun and will try anything! With just a few months of high school to go, this senior and I had lots to talk about and quite a bit in common. She went to North - go Timber wolves :) and is headed to the same college I attended. She has a bright future ahead! She was so unique and easy to get to know, and made my job so easy with her perfect expressions! Thanks so much for choosing Art and Soul for your senior photos, Tara! You are perfection!

Grads!

just had to post this one....we had just experienced a pretty silly moment :) Timberrrrrr...... this wall was awesome! went so well with her sweater (just one of the things you find exploring down alleys :) Had such a fun morning with Amanda! Even though it was a bit chilly, well down right cold.. we warmed up fast heading through town and getting some fun shots...She had a wonderful selection of great outfits making it tough to choose just a few to post. I am going to have so much fun proofing all the fun photos we took today. Thanks for a great session, Amanda...

10 months already???

my little funny bunny... How is my baby girl 10 months old already?... It goes so fast. She is growing and learning every second. It is such a blessing to watch! Had to post a few photos from our mini Easter session today. She was cheesing it up! I was not sure if she would leave the bunny ears on or not...but she did wonderful! Getting in the Easter spirit early with a few shots of my little bunny. Stay tuned for weekend sessions - this weekend is all about the Seniors! Two senior session that I am pumped for!

Anatomy of an Art Class....

Trying out my new macro lens(that I am in LOVE with by the way.....) in my classroom. We are working on a little bit of everything. Some painting, some trying out the ceramic wheel, and some making ceramic shoes. Makes for an interesting day...Here is a close-up, macro view of the classroom that I call home.

Too little? Click to get a bigger and better look! Loving the new rainbow umbrella :) way to go Brandon - the ring is AWESOME!!! I was so excited to capture the engagement photos for my lifelong friend Kim, and her fiancee Brandon. Kim and I have been friends since we were 12, and I just love her to pieces. I am so excited for the upcoming wedding - it is going to be amazing! I would have never guessed in a million years that the wedding color would be pink (right Kim):) but I am as tickled as can be about it. We had so much fun today, and the love between them was amazing! They snuggled and smooched the whole shoot. I have so many favorites from this session, it is hard to choose what pictures to post. I love you guys both so much! Thanks for testing out all my new props today :)

CD Cover Shoot...

Had the pleasure today of shooting the photos for a talented local musician with a CD release coming in the next few months. He has been working on his CD for a while now, and I was excited to be a part of it. We found all sorts of fun backgrounds for the CD cover while adventuring around downtown. I love shots in the urban setting....All the texture and color is amazing! The weather was perfect and I was super pleased with the shots we got. I can't wait to hear the whole CD, and I promised Tommy I would be sure and not sell his photos when he is famous :) Stay tuned, tomorrow I get the honor of shooting the engagement photos of my dear friends Kim and Brandon. I cannot wait!!!

creative cuties...

Had the pleasure of teaching a beginning painting class to some little cuties! It was for grades 3rd - 5th and they were so fun! I was so shocked at how good they did and how long they could work to complete a painting...They did some super fun Pop Art for our last session today. It turned out really cute! Over the past month they have amazed me with the fab job they did! I can't wait to teach my little cutie the basics of painting! I can just see the future painter in her :)

first dance... she danced all night and stole my heart along the way..her expressions were adorable! led in to your wedding and reception by a bagpipe player...AWESOME!! this little cutie was all business..she had her job down..What a doll!!! as you can see..this wedding party was tons of fun... I have a lot of catching up to do posting my recent sessions....but first had to share the wonderful wedding I had the honor of photographing over the weekend. A day filled with a calm bride and groom..adorable flower girl..an 82 year young grandmother..and a bagpipe player...A wedding I won't soon forget. This wedding was so unique and filled with personal touches by the bride and groom. I had never seen such a calm and collected bride as Aimee. She made my job very easy. Had a blast at the wedding, and loads of fun at the reception. I wanted to get out and do some dancing of my own (they had a great DJ) but I stuck to getting some dancing pictures that are sure to get some laughs. Thanks for a wonderful evening and a wonderful wedding Sam and Aimee. You guys are a perfect match and I wish you all the best!
